Our independent, certified laboratory offers Accelerated Aging Testing. We can work with you to select the right test regime for your packaged product to fit your specific requirements.

Accelerated & Real Time Aging ASTM F1980

Test specimens are exposed to elevated environmental conditions for fixed periods of time. Accelerated Aging simulates the effects of real time aging over shorter time frames and allows the manufacturer to predict the real time performance of the product and package.

Accelerated Aging Testing can be done with or without humidity, using various aging temperatures specific to customers’ individual needs. Conditions range from 40°C to 60°C, 15% to 90% RH.

We offer Real Time Aging Testing where specimens are stored under ambient conditions for the required shelf life. The requirement of ISO 11607 is to complete a real time aging study in parallel with Accelerated Aging on all sterile barrier systems.
